I am not quite sure what prompted me to write a letter to my future self, but something must have. It is fun to look back and what your younger self wrote to you! The few times I have done this, I have been impressed with my younger self, and it helps me encouraged, like a letter from an old friend.

My letter:

I would want to tell future Madi that you are capable and strong and have the ability to be confident. You are smart and determined, you should spend more time with God and letting him lead your life. You should definitely peruse your dreams, DUH! That would be so awesome! Even if you make less money, there are so many benefits and you would be doing what you love and what you are meant to do. Maybe everything you struggled with so long ago will be used to help others someday. You need to be confident and self assure. God wouldn't give you these ideas if you couldn't handle it. He will provide you with the strength you need.

This is what I wrote to myself at 24, looking back, I feel so proud of my younger self. I guess it only makes sense to write another one to myself a year and a half later!

What would 26 year old Madi want to tell her future self today?

I would want to tell future Madi that you are special, loved, and valuable. Your worth is not based off of other opinions and thoughts, but based on the fact that you were specially created. You are so much stronger and more capable than you know, if you would only not let fear get in your way. I know that life can be scary, but you don't want to look back and have regrets. Your story matters and your story can hep others. You should use that to your advantage. We go through hard things so that we can help others who are going through hard things. God does not give you more than you are able to handle.
